Celebrating the Installation of Hon. Michael Chmiel as President and the new Officers.

We will also be honoring Marta Almodovar with the Award of Merit.

Marta Almodovar was born in Bialystok and received her master in law degree from the University of Warsaw in, Poland. She began working for the Circuit Court of Cook County in 1998. She started as a court clerk in the Probate Division. In 2003 she was assigned to the Office of the Presiding Judge of the First Municipal District where she was advising Presiding Judge as to issues arising from allocation of staff, procedures, policy initiative and administrative matter. Between 2008 and 2017, she was an Administrative Supervisor for the Mandatory Arbitration Center for the Circuit Court of Cook County where she was responsible for reviewing current policies, procedures, and practices of court mandatory arbitration program in an effort to streamline administrative functions and to recommend operation enhancements.
